What if you could have your favourite painting tattooed on your body without losing any of its essence? That’s how close Russian artist Sasha Unisex’s technique to inking your body will get you.

Sasha’s works are already garnering popularity mainly because of her unique way of going about it, making the tattoo look like stained glass masterpieces. Most of her art has been inspired by nature, with animals and plants being the key designs.

The Saint Petersburg based artist first creates a water colour image on paper and then replicates the design to skin. What is so amazing about her composition technique and application is that though the designs are simple, the amount of emphasis on the geometry gives them a 3D effect.

Her tattoos also have a creative twist – be the monkey with the headphones, the astronaut bear or the lady waiting for her ship to arrive – all of these make each of her design brilliant.

She puts her unique spin to the tattoos by drawing these using vibrant colours and depicting them with abstract, geometrical form without the usual outlines that accompany traditional tattoos. The unconventional colours ensure that the final product is vibrant and eye-catching.

The colours are also a reason why she has been in demand especially with women and couples who wants to have their skin inked. Her water coloured paintings alone deserve a lot of appreciation but she takes it to another level when she recreates the magic on someone’s skin.

We have seen several tattoo artists but none as compelling as Sasha. Pure talent with an eye for fresh designs!
